ABOUT Besan bread toast RECIPE

This besan bread toast recipe comes very handy for me during those days.Besan bread toast is usually made with halved bread slices. yet, these easy to prepare bread besan toast make for a good breakfast option. when i make these, i always add tomatoes. i like the taste and texture which tomatoes bring in these toasts.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup besan / gram flour
  2. ½ tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  3. ¼ tsp turmeric
  4. 4 slices bread, white / brown
  5. ½ tsp aamchur / dry mango powder
  6. ¼ tsp ajwain / carom seeds
  7. pinch of hing / asafoetida
  8. ¼ tsp salt
  9. ½ cup water
  10. 1 green chilli, finely chopped ¼ ts
  11. ¼ tsp ginger paste
  12. 2 tbsp onion, finely chopped
  13. 2 tomatoes finely chopped
  14. 1 tbsp coriander leaves,
  15. finely chopped
  16. oil for toasting

Instructions

  1. firstly, in a large mixing bowl take 1 cup besan.add in turmeric, chilli powder, aamchur,ajwain, pinch of hing and salt. combine well. further add water and whisk smooth.
  2. additionally add 1 finely chopped green chilli, ginger paste, onion, capsicum and coriander leaves. mix well and get to thick flowing consistency batter.
  3. now dip a bread slices into besan batter and cover both sides. heat pan with oil and toast on low flame.
  4. flip over and cook both sides till besan gets cooked completely and bread turns crisp.
  5. press gently, make sure besan is cooked completely. Now this besan bread toast is ready to serve
  6. finally serve hot besan bread toast with green chutney or tomato sauce.
