Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 6 brown bread slices cut diagonally
  2. 4 tbspn chickpeas flour/Besan
  3. 1 small onion finely diced
  4. Salt to taste
  5. A handful of fresh coriander leaves
  6. Dry spices like turmeric, red chilli, amchur
  7. A pinch of ajwain/carom seeds
  8. 1 tbspn curd
  9. 1 tbspn ginger-garlic paste
  10. 1 tbspn cumin powder/whole cumin seeds(jeera)
  11. 2 tbspn Oil
  12. Water as needed
  13. 2 Green chillies finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl except oil, water and breads
  2. Mix well and then slowly add water to make a slightly thick batter
  3. Coat the bread pieces one by one in the batter well
  4. Heat oil in a non stick pan and pan fry the toasts till cooked or slightly brown on both sides
  5. Enjoy them while hot with your favourite ketchup or chutney
