A simple and very quick recipe of every goan house.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Basmati rice- 1- cup
  2. Goan sausage- 15- beads
  3. chicken Maggie cubes- 2- cubes
  4. Onion- 1- small
  5. Salt- 1- for taste
  6. Oil- 1- tbsp
  7. Lavang- 4- piece
  8. cinnamon stick- 1- small
  9. Elaichi- 2- pods
  10. Water- 2- cup


  1. In a deep wok add oil, elaichi, cinnamon stick, cloves/lavang, onion. Saute it well till onion turns brown colour.
  2. Once onion turned brown (don't burn) add goan sausage and cook it for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Now add 2 cups of water and 2 or 3 maggie cubes, give a mix and let it to boil. Now add washed and soaked basmati rice, gently mix it. Close the lid on wok and cook for about 10 minutes in a low flame. After 10 min please don't open the lid, off the stove and let the rice completely cook in steam. After 15 min your Chorizo pulao is ready to serve. Serve it with any of your favourite raita.
