ABOUT Cabbage Poriyal RECIPE

A simple cabbage stir fry that goes great with Roti/ Rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Shredded cabbage - 2 cups
  2. Green peas - 1/2 cup
  3. Green chillies - 4-5, finely chopped
  4. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  5. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  6. Coconut, grated - 1/4 cup
  7. Salt - to taste
  8. Mustard oil / Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. In a pan, heat some oil and add in the mustard seeds.
  2. Once the mustard seeds crackle, add the shredded cabbage and lots of green chillies.
  3. Add turmeric powder, salt and the peas. Sprinkle some water, cover and let it cook until the cabbage is just about done.
  4. Add the grated coconut, mix it well and serve hot.
