ABOUT Ravi rotti RECIPE

Ragi rotti is extremely popular breakfast item in from South India . It has many health benefits and packed with nutritional values . Ragi is a whole grain that is gluten free and a staple in south India. It is rich in finer that helps with weight loss and diabetes. It’s packed with calcium, good carbs , amino acid and vitamin D. This recipe I learned with my grand mother .

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Ragi flour -2-Cup
  2. Coconut shredded -1-Cup
  3. Onion-2-Pieces
  4. Dry red chilly -3-Pieces
  5. Curry leaves -2-String
  6. Coriander leaves chopped -2-Tbsp
  7. Mint leaves -2-Tbsb
  8. Groundnut / sesame Oil -1/2-Cup

Instructions

  1. Take a mixing bowl and add ragi flour.
  2. Cut the vegetables set aside the plate
  3. Ina mixing bowl add all the ingredients and mix well .
  4. Slowly add water little by little and bring it to a soft dough , if your hands are sticky you can add little oil and mix .
  5. Divide the dough to equal parts, Take away paper and spread the dough with greased fingers on the paper.
  6. On a hot tawa, put a tsp of oil and transfer the rotti on the tawa then add oil on the edges of the rotti and cook on both sides.
  7. Serve hot with ghee or any curry , chutney etc.
