ABOUT Tuna Tangy Pasta RECIPE

A yummy pasta dish with soft succulent tuna fish in brine added to this very tangy veggies sauted penne pasta. This is the perfect wholesome lunch or dinner dish.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 200 gms Delmonte Penne Pasta
  2. 2 tablespoon Olive oil of choice
  3. 1 tin canned Tuna in brine
  4. 1 big sized Capsicum
  5. 1-2 Carrots
  6. 1 tsp garlic, crushed
  7. 2 ripe tomatoes
  8. 2 spring onions
  9. Few basil leaves
  10. 1-2 celery sticks
  11. 1 sprig of parsely
  12. Salt to taste
  13. 1 tsp black pepper
  14. 1 tsp tomato chilli ketchup (Delmonte)
  15. 1 tsp Paprika

Instructions

  1. Boil the penne pasta in salt water with a little oil for 15 minutes.
  2. Chop the veggies, spring onions and tomatoes in square shapes.
  3. Remove the pasta and let it cool in the same water while it's covered (On doing this, they bloat well and become soft.)
  4. Remove the tuna fish from the brine in a bowl and throw away the brine.
  5. Heat oil in a pan, stir fry the crushed garlic and spring onions.
  6. Add the tomatoes, veggies, celery sticks with leaves, salt and pepper. Then add the chilli sauce to this mixture and sprinkle paprika on top.
  7. Add basil leaves, stir fry then add the tuna fish and mix it lightly.
  8. Keep the boiled pasta in your serving bowl and top this lightly with the tuna veggie mixture.
  9. Garnish with parsley and serve.
