ABOUT Talebadi Ke Laddoo RECIPE

This recipe i have taken from one of my friends, since she made a Sindhi sweet dish called talebadi. But i have given it a twist by making laddoos out of it.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 1 cup besan/chickpea flour
  2. 1 cup sooji/semolina
  3. 1 and 1/2 cup ghee
  4. 1 cup chopped dry fruits (almonds, cashewnuts)
  5. 2 packets nestle milk powder
  6. 1 cup sugar (as per taste)
  7. 2 cups Water
  8. 2 to 3 strands kesar/ saffron

Instructions

  1. In a thick bottom kadai, add ghee to heat. Then add the besan, sooji and keep stirring till it's golden brown in colour. Keep this mixture aside to cool.
  2. Then add the milk powder and mix it well together.
  3. In a separate pan, add water and sugar to make the syrup. Once the sugar syrup is done, add in the mixture and keep stirring.
  4. Next, add the chopped dry fruits, almonds and cashew nuts. Keep stirring till the mixture leaves it's sides.
  5. Then pour it in a bowl and let it cool.
  6. Make ball shapes and place it in a plate. Let it refrigerate.
  7. Serve it after a while to enjoy!
