Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Goat Leg - 2 each Leg cut into 2
  2. Onion 2 chopped finely
  3. Tomato 2 chopped finely
  4. Oil 4 Tsp
  5. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  6. Green chilly 3 whole
  7. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  8. Fennel Seeds 1 tsp
  9. Cinnamon 1 small stick
  10. Bay leaf 1
  11. Cloves 3
  12. Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  13. Chilly powder 2 TSP
  14. Coconut pieces 1/2 cup
  15. Curry leaves 1 sprig
  16. Coriander leaves few chopped
  17. Lemon juice 1 tsp
  18. Salt to taste


  1. Grind the coconut pieces to a thick paste by adding little water and keep aside.
  2. In a pressure cooker heat the oil.
  3. Add cumin, saunf, cinnamon , cloves and bay leaf and let it crackle.
  4. Add chopped onion and saute till onion turns soft.
  5. Add ginger garlic paste, green chilly, coriander and curry leaves and fry for 2 mins.
  6. Add tomatoes and fry till it turns mushy.
  7. Add turmeric powder, red chilly powder, coriander powder, Salt and cook for a min.
  8. Now add the goat Leg and stir well.
  9. Put water covering the leg and pressure cook for 5 mins on high heat.
  10. Now simmer the heat and cook for 10 mins. Turn off the heat and let the pressure release by itself.
  11. Open the cooker, add the coconut paste and cook for another 5 mins.
  12. Add the lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves, give a quick stir and switch off the flame.
