Chicken Samosas

Ingredients to make Chicken Samosas

  • all purpose flour 1 cup
  • salt 1/2 tsp
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • Milk 1/2 cup
  • cumin seeds or carom seeds (ajwain) 1 tsp crushed
  • For the chicken filling: Boneless chicken breast 200 gm
  • chilli flakes or black pepper powder 1 tbsp
  • onions 2 finely chopped
  • salt to taste
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • garam masala powder 1 tbsp
  • coriander 1 tsp, crushed coarsely
  • garlic finely chopped 2 to 3 cloves
  • coriander leaves finely chopped 1 handful
  • Green peas 1 small cup (Optional)
  • Extra oil for deep frying the samosas

How to make Chicken Samosas

  1. Make a smooth dough out of all the ingredients listed for making it and leave it covered for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil and saute the garlic along with the onions.
  3. Add the chicken cut into small pieces.
  4. Add all the masalas and the green peas as well.
  5. Stir fry for about 6 to 7 minutes.
  6. Garnish with coriander and let it cool down.
  7. Make samosas out of the dough.
  8. Fill them up with the chicken mix and deep fry.
  9. Serve hot with any dip of your choice.

My Tip:

Always deep fry in hot oil on low to medium flame only.
