Moong Dal Fritters

Ingredients to make Moong Dal Fritters

  • moong dal or yellow lentils 1 cup.
  • yoghurt 3 tbsp.
  • salt to taste.
  • asafoetida a pinch.
  • baking soda 1/4 th tsp.
  • green chillies about 3 to 4.
  • coriander leaves a handful.
  • Purslane leaves half a bunch.
  • coriander and cumin powders a tsp each.

How to make Moong Dal Fritters

  1. Soak the dal for 3 to 4 hours.
  2. Grind it coarsely with green chillies and curd.
  3. Add the other ingredients to the dal mix.
  4. Drop small balls of the mix in hot oil.
  5. Fry on medium to low flame.
  6. Serve hot with any sauce.

My Tip:

Always deep fry on low to medium flame only.
