Ingredients Serving: 7

  1. Kabuli chana 300 gm
  2. Kaju 10 gm
  3. Milk 1/2 cup
  4. Tomato 1 large
  5. Onions 3 medium size
  6. Ginger garlic paste 1 - 2 tbsp
  7. 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  8. 1 tsp dhaniya powder
  9. 1 tsp Jeera powder
  10. 1/2 tsp gol mirch
  11. Red chilli powder as per your taste
  12. Salt as required
  13. Tej patta 3 pieces small
  14. Tomato ketchup 4 large tablespoons
  15. Sugar 1 tablespoon
  16. Oil as per required


  1. Pressure cook the Kabuli chana in sufficient water.
  2. Soak kaju in a little milk.
  3. Chop the onions and saute them in a pan with a little oil till they turn light brown. Add in the chopped tomato and saute nicely.
  4. Let this mixture cool and then grind to make a fine paste.
  5. In the same mixture add and grind the soaked kaju in milk, keep aside.
  6. In a pan add oil, tej patta, ginger garlic paste and transfer this paste.
  7. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, jeera powder, dhaniya powder, gol mirch and salt.
  8. Add water 2-3 cups and saute well.
  9. Add kabuli chana, saute for a few minutes. Add in tomato sauce and sugar. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  10. Serve hot with roti, bhatura or poori.
