Healthy Veg Balls

Ingredients to make Healthy Veg Balls

  • 3 medium sized boiled potatoes
  • 2 finely chopped carrots
  • 1 small chopped onion
  • 1 tsp chopped green chillies
  • 1 tsp chopped ginger
  • 1 tsp chopped garlic
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp corn flour in 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup broken vermicelli
  • 1/2 tsp dry mango powder
  • salt to taste
  • oil for cooking

How to make Healthy Veg Balls

  1. Mash potatoes and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped garlic, ginger, green chillies, onion and carrots. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes. Mix mashed potatoes, add salt and amchur powder. Mix well & let it cool & make equal sized balls.
  3. Heat appe pan. Put one drop of oil in each slot.
  4. Dip each ball in cornflour mixed watery paste. Coat the bottom of ball with broken vermicelli to make the nest.
  5. Put this ball in appe pan on slow flame, repeat the same with remaining balls. Flip the ball till its crisp and golden brown. Serve hot with sauce or chutney.

My Tip:

Cook it on slow flame.
