ABOUT Carrot rawa ladoo RECIPE

Ladoo is one of the famous sweets in India. Be it any festival,auspicious occasion or marriage ladoo is the must. Ladoo is basically made from variety flours like chick pea, semolina, wheat flour with lot of ghee and sugar. They have soft and have crumbly texture and just melt in mouth. They are best eaten when the weather is slightly cold. Ladoos are thoroughly enjoyed by both kids and elders. Making ladoos is always considered as a tedious job but its very easy to make them and requires very less ingredients. In order to make them healthy you can add in dry fruits too. So today am going to share with you my recipe of Carrot Rawa Ladoo. Hope you all enjoy it.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 1 cup rawa/ semolina.
  2. 1 cup peeled and grated carrot.
  3. 1 cup+2 tbsp sugar.
  4. 4 tbsp ghee
  5. Few cashew nuts, almonds and raisins.
  6. 1/4 cup milk + little more.
  7. 2 cardamom pods.

Instructions

  1. In a pan dry roast rawa/semolina till its light brown. Let it cool down.
  2. Now in a blender add in sugar,cardamom pods and roasted rawa. Blend itcoarsely.Keepit aside.
  3. Now in the same pan add in a table spoon of ghee and slightly saute the nuts and remove them when done.
  4. Again in the same pan saute the grated carrot. Cook the carrot till the raw smell of carrot goes away. Let it cool down.
  5. Mix the carrot along with the rawa ,sugar and nuts. Heat the remaining ghee and pour it above the mixture. Mix it the mixture properly. Add in 1 tbsp milk at a time and start making ladoos.
  6. You wont need the whole milk just add in to make the mixture a little moist so that you can hold the ladoo properly. Serve them once they are in room temperature store in airtight container.
