Ingredients to make No yeast, no maida instant focaccia

  • 1/4 cup - urad dal (black lentils)
  • 1 cup- suji
  • 1 tbsp- honey
  • 1/4 tsp- salt or little more
  • 10 Roasted garlic cloves(the more the better)
  • Dried mint leaves/powder
  • coriander powder, red chilly powder
  • Black chickpeas -optional - I had a few in stock, so added - you may replace with any other ingredient that you like
  • 3 tsp- olive oil
  • 2 tbsp- hung curd
  • Seasoning of your choice

How to make No yeast, no maida instant focaccia

  1. Soak both urad dal flour and semolina overnight.
  2. Mash roasted garlic cloves and mix with the batter in the morning.
  3. Stir in honey, olive oil, and salt.
  4. Mix hung curd with black chickpeas and coriander powder.
  5. Add little salt.
  6. Grease a baking pan.
  7. Pour the batter in the baking pan.
  8. Sprinkle the hung curd mixture over the batter.
  9. Spread the mixture evenly over the batter.
  10. Garnish with dried mint leaves.
  11. Bake for 10 mts at 180 degrees.
  12. Open the microwave and sprinkle 2 tsp of olive oil over the batter.
  13. Bake for 8-10 mts.
  14. Enjoy the yeast-free desi focaccia with or without condiments.
