ABOUT SUGAR-FREE DRYFRUIT ROLL RECIPE

This is one mithai every dieting person or a diabetic would be tempted to buy from market. So i decided to make it on my own this year.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 100 grams Cashewnuts
  2. 100 grams Almonds
  3. 100 grams pistachios
  4. 100 grams charoli/chironji
  5. 100 grams Dates
  6. 100 grams figs/anjeer
  7. 2 tablespoon spoon poppy seeds(optional
  8. 1 tablespoon unsalted butter/ Ghee

Instructions

  1. Deseed the dates and chop them. Also chop Anjeer.
  2. Also chop all the dryfruits separately. *You can skip chopping and pulse all the dryfruits in food processor
  3. Heat butter/ghee in a pan and add the dryfruits. Roast them on a medium flame for about 3-4 minutes. Add cardamom powder
  4. Now add chopped anjeer and dates . Mix well to bring together all the ingredients. Cook for 2 minutes and switch off the flame. Allow the mixture to cool a bit.
  5. Spread poppy seeds on a parchment paper and roll the mixture on it. Roll the paper and seal both ends.
  6. Refrigerate for an hour and cut into 1/2 inch rolls and garnish with halved cashews/almonds and serve.
