About Korean Fried Chicken Recipe

Fried chicken is another versatile dish which can be prepared with different flavours. This recipe is easy and pops the flavours of Korean spices.

Korean Fried Chicken

Ingredients to make Korean Fried Chicken

  • 1kg chicken Legs
  • 1/3 White wine
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1 tbsp Gochujang (Korean red chilli paste)
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp ginger
  • 3 tbs sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • oil

How to make Korean Fried Chicken

  1. In a bowl, add the chicken and rub salt on the pieces. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 24 hours.
  2. Add soy sauce, sugar, gochujang, white wine, garlic and ginger in a saucepan and combine well to make a sauce. Transfer into a bowl.
  3. Take the chicken out of the refrigerator and dry well using paper towels.
  4. Mix corn starch and chicken in bowl, coat well
  5. Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan, fry the chicken pices until it turn brown, about 10 mins.
  6. Trasnfer the chicken into the bowl with the sauce and toss well to coat lightly.
  7. Sprinkle some sesame seeds and serve hot.
