ABOUT Churmuri RECIPE

A tangy and spicy puffed rice with the goodness of veggies. This is perfect for an evening snack.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Salted Puffed rice (thick ones which are presalted) 2 cups
  2. Onion 1 medium sized
  3. Carrot 1 small sized
  4. Tomato 1/2 small sized
  5. Roasted peanuts, a handful
  6. Thin Sev 2 tbsp
  7. Green chillies 2 small
  8. Coriander leaves, one handful
  9. Lemon juice 1 tsp
  10. Dry mango powder 1/4 tsp
  11. Chat masala 1/4 tsp
  12. Salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. Chop the onion. Deseed and chop the tomato, then grate the carrot and keep them aside.
  2. Grind 2 chillies, coriander, lemon juice, salt as per taste to make the green chutney.
  3. Mix the chopped and grated vegetables along with the green chutney. Add in the roasted peanuts, 1 chopped green chilli, chopped coriander, dry mango powder, chat masala, salt and mix it well.
  4. Next, add in the oil, puffed rice and mix it well. Then sprinkle some thin sev on top.
  5. Serve it immediately so that the puffed rice does not become soggy.
