Churmuri (puffed rice)

Ingredients to make Churmuri (puffed rice)

  • 3 cup puffed rice
  • 2 cup sev or chivda
  • 1 medium carrot, grated
  • 1 cucumber, Chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 2 green chilles
  • 1 Raw mango, chopped
  • 1/4 cup coriander leaves
  • 2 pod garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp chat masala
  • 1 tsp red chilly powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder, roasted
  • Few Roasted peanuts
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

How to make Churmuri (puffed rice)

  1. Take a bowl and add in finely chopped onion,tomato, grated carrot,grated cucumber, grated raw mango, finely chopped garlic and green chilli. Mix well.
  2. Add in chat masala powder, red chili powder, roasted cumin powder, salt,lemon juice, coriander leaves, sev/ chivda, puffed rice and peanuts .Mix well
  3. Finally add coconut oil and give a last mix.
  4. Serve immediately.

My Tip:

- Add puffed rice at last for crisped churmuri.... - If puffed rice is not crispy dry roast it.... - Adjust spicy and tangy taste as per desire... - Mix puffed rice in small batched... - Garlic is a secret ingredient here. - Use roasted peanuts.
