Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Wheat flour 1 cup
  2. Suji 1 cup
  3. Besan 1 cup
  4. Chopped methi leaves 1 cup
  5. Grated bottle gourd (lauki) 1 small sized
  6. Green chilli and Ginger-Garlic paste 1 tsp
  7. Curd 1 tbsp
  8. Boiled rice (optional) you can use any leftover veggies or dal
  9. Salt as per taste
  10. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  11. Til (sesame seeds) 2 tsp
  12. Sugar 1 tsp
  13. Oil 1 tsp extra for muthias
  14. Lemon juice 1 tsp
  15. Chopped coriander leaves, a handful

Instructions

  1. Take all the 3 types of flour in a plate.
  2. Add in the salt, turmeric powder, green chilli/ ginger-garlic paste. Add in the chopped methi leaves, grated lauki and boiled rice.
  3. Next add 1 tsp of oil, curd and sugar. Now knead the flour.
  4. Take a ball of kneaded flour in your palms and give it the shape of a muthia, like wise prepare all the muthias.
  5. Now take a steamer and steam all the muthias for 15 minutes. To check if it's cooked, use a knife.
  6. Then cut the muthias into flat round shapes.
  7. Take a heavy bottomed pan, add 1 spoon of oil to heat. Then add in the jeera and til.
  8. Next add in the muthias and saute for a few minutes.
  9. Add in the lemon juice and garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.
  10. Enjoy your muthias.
