Gold Coins

Ingredients to make Gold Coins

  • Bread slices 10
  • maida 1 tbsp
  • Seasame seeds 1 tbsp
  • oil for Deep frying
  • Boiled potatoes 4 medium sized
  • onion 1 medium size chopped
  • capsicum 1/4 cup chopped
  • Boiled sweet corn 1/2 cup
  • green chillies 2 finely minced
  • garlic 3 cloves finely minced
  • Black pepper powder 1 pinch
  • salt to taste

How to make Gold Coins

  1. Cut the bread slices with any sharp steel glass in round shapes and keep them aside.
  2. Dissolve the maida into a little water and make a thick paste.
  3. Now in a bowl, mash the boiled potatoes, then add in the onion, capsicum, sweet corn, black pepper powder and salt. Mix it well , the toppings are ready.
  4. Now place 1 tbsp mixer of the toppings on the center of the round bread and spread the paste of maida over it.
  5. Sprinkle little sesame seeds over the paste of maida. Continue this process with the other round breads as well.
  6. Heat oil for deep frying in a kadhai. Fry the the ready coins till they are golden colour from both the sides. Then drain it on an absorbent paper.
  7. Serve hot with tomato ketchup or schezwan chutney.

My Tip:

Be careful while dropping the gold coin into the oil, it might splutter a little because of the sesame seeds.
