ABOUT Blini with Smoked Salmon RECIPE

A crunchy biscuit baked with heavenly bacon topped with basil and cheese.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 200g Smoked Salmon
  2. 110g Butter
  3. 85g All purpose flour
  4. 40g Buckwheat flour
  5. 180ml Milk
  6. 1/4 cup Sour cream
  7. 1/4 cup Fish Roe
  8. 1 Egg
  9. 3/4 tsp Salt
  10. 1/2 tsp Baking powder


  1. Slice the smoked salmon into thin pieces.
  2. Add buckwheat flour, all purpose flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
  3. Whisk the milk, egg and 1 tbsp of butter in another bowl.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk-egg mixture into the flour mixture to make a smooth batter.
  5. Heat a tbsp of butter in a pan, drop a tbsp of the batter.
  6. Cook over low heat for 2 mins and then flip the blini and cook until brown, about a minute.
  7. Remove from heat and drain over paper towels. Repeat the same for remaining batter.
  8. Top the blini with a piece of smoked salmon, a tsp of sour cream and a tsp of fish roe
  9. Serve fresh!
