Amla Murabba

Ingredients to make Amla Murabba

  • 1 kg amlas
  • 1 kg sugar
  • 1 litre water

How to make Amla Murabba

  1. Wash amlas.
  2. Boil water in a pan. When it boils, add amlas. Keep the flame on high
  3. Keep amlas into boiling water for around 10 minutes.
  4. After 10 minutes switch off the gas.
  5. Take out amlas from water
  6. Heat another pan. Add 1 Lt water. Add 1 kg sugar in it.
  7. Let the sugar dissolve in water.
  8. Add amlas and simmer the gas.
  9. Cover it and cook them for around 35-40 minutes.
  10. Switch off the gas.
  11. Keep the vessel covered for around 24 hours.
  12. Now take out the amlas and cook the sugar solution on high for around 5 minutes.
  13. Add amlas and let them cook for 5 minutes.
  14. Add cardamom powder to them.
  15. Let it cool and store it in clean glass container.
  16. Have one daily with your meal.
