Flavourful Urad daal fritters with curry leaves, zeera, ginger, black pepper corn, onion, coriander leaves and Suji.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Urad daal 1 cup.
  2. Suji 1 tbsp
  3. Onion 1 big.
  4. Zeera 1 tsp
  5. Ginger chopped fine 1 tsp
  6. Black pepper corns ( whole 1/2 tsp or 1 tsp powdered )
  7. Fresh coconut finely chopped 1 tbsp
  8. Green chilli finely chopped 1 tsp
  9. Coriander leaves finely chopped 1 tbsp
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Curry leaves 5-6
  12. Oil for deep frying.


  1. Soak urad daal in warm water for 40 minutes.
  2. Coarsely grind the daal and keep for 20 minutes.
  3. Chop the onions finely
  4. Add pepper corns, Ginger, salt, chopped onion, Curry leaves, Chilli, Coriander leaves, Chopped Coconut.
  5. Rub Zeera between two palms then add . Add suji and mix well.
  6. Heat oil in a pan. Add 1 tbsp oil to the batter. Now fry your fritters and enjoy with green chutney and tea.
