Ingredients to make Mango Pachadi with Jaggery

  • Raw mangoes-1 1/4 cup (chopped or shaved)
  • jaggery - 1 cup grated
  • salt -a pinch
  • turmeric powder a pinch
  • ghee/Oil -1 tsp
  • mustard seeds -1/2 tsp
  • urad dal - 1/2 tsp

How to make Mango Pachadi with Jaggery

  1. Wash and peel the skin of the mangoes,and take as specified.
  2. Cook the mangoes with little water in a pressure cooker for 2 whistles.
  3. Consitency should be a semi-solid.
  4. Boil the water with jaggery for a few minutes,and filter the mixture so that it can rid of any dusts in jaggery.
  5. Now add the cooked mango, pinch of salt and boil on medium flame until it becomes slightly thick and gets blended well with the jaggery.
  6. With a tsp of oil, add mustard seeds, when it splutters,add urad dhal and pour it over the pachadi.
