ABOUT Gond ke Laddu/Dink Laddu/Edible Gum Sweet Laddu RECIPE

A Perfect, traditional, energetic Winter dessert which provides warmth to the body. It is heartily devoured in Rajasthan. These delicious laddus can be consumed by anyone but mostly given to lactating mothers in India. This winter delicacy is a perfect nutritious breakfast with a glass of warm milk.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Gond (edible gum) - 3 tablespoons
  2. Desi ghee - 4 and 1/2 tablespoons
  3. Whole wheat flour - 1 and 1/4 cups
  4. Powdered sugar - 1/2 cup
  5. cardamom Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  6. almonds, roughly chopped - 12 to 14
  7. cashew nuts, finely chopped - 12 to 14
  8. Desi ghee for deep-frying


  1. Heat 3 and 1/2 tablespoons of ghee in a broad non-stick pan.
  2. Add the whole wheat flour and roast it over a medium flame for 6 minutes, while stirring continuously.
  3. Keep aside to cool completely.
  4. Heat the ghee for deep-frying in a wok and deep-fry the gond till the pieces puffs up.
  5. Drain on an absorbent paper and keep aside.
  6. In the remaining hot ghee, add almonds and cashew nuts and fry for about one minute on a low flame.
  7. Drain on an absorbent paper and keep aside.
  8. Combine the fried gond, remaining 1 tablespoon of ghee, roasted wheat flour, powdered sugar, cardamom powder, fried almonds and cashew nuts in a deep bowl and mix well.
  9. Divide the mixture into 15 portions and shape each portion into a round ball.
  10. Gond ke laddus are ready to be served.
  11. Enjoy the laddu with a glass of warm milk.
