Ingredients to make Stuffed Banana

  • banana 1 big (Not very ripe)
  • coconut 4 tbsp
  • jaggery syrup 2 tbsp
  • cardamom powder a pinch
  • maida paste 3tbsp, (mix maida with some water ,make a thick paste.)

How to make Stuffed Banana

  1. Take banana. Cut into 2. Then cut one side, lengthwise, without breaking .
  2. Scoop out from inside with a spoon. Heat a small pan, put jaggery syrup, when it boils, add grated coconut & cardomom powder. Stir till it is very thick.
  3. Fill the bananas with 2 or 3 tbsp of coconut mixture. Cover with the other piece. Dip in maida paste, apply maida paste all over banana very thinly & shallow fry in ghee or oil. Fry all sides, turning all over.
  4. Serve

My Tip:

Banana should not be very ripe. This sweet is made in many ways in kerala.instead of jaggery, add sugar ,dry fruits & nuts.
