Ingredients to make Stuffed bananas

  • Raw banana 2
  • tomatoes 2
  • mustard seeds 2 tablespoons
  • garlic 10 pods
  • Dry red chillies 3
  • turmeric powder 1+1 teaspoon
  • salt 1 tablespoon
  • water 2 cups
  • oil 1 tablespoon

How to make Stuffed bananas

  1. In a pressure cooker take water
  2. Add salt
  3. Add turmeric powder
  4. Put it on gas
  5. Peel the bananas
  6. Cut the banana into two equal halves breadth wise
  7. Now put it in the pressure cooker
  8. Cook for one whistle
  9. After one whistle switch off the flame
  10. Let the pressure settle down by itself
  11. Now prepare the filling
  12. In a mixer jar take 2 tablespoons of mustard seeds
  13. Add the chopped tomatoes
  14. Add dry red chillies
  15. Make a fine paste of it
  16. To this paste add turmeric powder
  17. Add salt
  18. Mix and keep aside
  19. Now open the pressure cooker and take out the bananas
  20. Keeping the end portion intact make four cuts into each of the banana
  21. Now take the tomato mustard paste and stuff inside the banana
  22. Do this for all the bananas
  23. Now in a pan take one table spoon of oil
  24. When the oil becomes hot fry the stuffed bananas till done

My Tip:

Don't overcook the bananas. Just one whistle is enough. Use very raw and fresh bananas.
