Stuffed baked Banana

Ingredients to make Stuffed baked Banana

  • bananas 5 ( raw)
  • onion 1
  • tomato 1
  • potato 1
  • spinach leaves chopped 1/2 cup.
  • mint leaves few
  • coriander leaves chopped fine 1 tsp
  • Salt, chilli powder to taste. turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala 1/4 tsp
  • sesame seeds 1 tsp
  • ginger grated 1/2 tsp
  • garlic crushed 3/4 tsp
  • asafoetida a pinch
  • mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
  • oil 3 to 4 tsp.

How to make Stuffed baked Banana

  1. Pressure cook bananas to 2 whistles. Peel and let them cool.
  2. Pressure cook potato. Peel and grate.
  3. Chop Onion, tomato mint leaves.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and add Asafoetida, mustard seeds.
  5. As it crackles add onion, saute, add all masala and ginger garlic too.
  6. Saute and adf chopped Spinach leaves, saute 2 minutes, turn gas off.
  7. Add grated potato and adjust salt and masala. Let it cool.
  8. Till that cut Banana to half. Make 2 slits and take out center portion. Let one side be closed.
  9. Stuff with prepared mixture and bake in a preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes depending on the size of Banana. Here is a picture of how to stuff.
  10. Check if baked well. If you like little brown bake for 5 minutes more.
  11. Serve as an appetizer with your choice of soup. It's an amazing biting.

My Tip:

You can fry also after adding stuffing. I fried few for my in-laws of age 90 by tying with a thread so they can chew well.
