Bored of trying the same fish fry  recipe for mackerels and crave for a twist? So why not roast some fresh spices and use it for the recipe? Roasted fennel seeds and pepper give an amazing flavour to the fish. Hope you will try it and enjoy....

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Mackerel Fish - 5 pieces
  2. ginger Garlic - 1 tsp
  3. coriander leaves - 3 tbspn
  4. salt to taste
  5. lemon juice - 3 tbspn
  6. oil for frying
  7. fennel seeds - 1 tsp
  8. Whole Black pepper - 1.5 tbspn


  1. Roast fennel seeds and black pepper gently and powder it finely.
  2. Then add coriander leaves, ginger garlic paste,lemon juice,salt and blend till smooth.
  3. Apply the marinade all over the fish and let it marinate for 30 minutes.
  4. Now heat oil in a pan and once it gets hot, place the fish and cook for 4 to 5 mins on each side.
