ABOUT Tiramisu (Eggless) RECIPE

Tiramisu is an Italian dessert. Basically, it contains Rum and eggs. But I have made it eggless and non-alcohol. In tiramisu lady finger biscuits(Sponge biscuits)are used. In this recipe I have used home made vanilla sponge cake and home made mascarpone cheese.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. For vanilla sponge cake -
  2. All purpose flour 1cup
  3. Butter 1/4cup
  4. Condensed milk 200ml
  5. Confectioner sugar 4 tbsp
  6. Vinegar 1tsp
  7. Vanilla extract 1tsp
  8. Milk at room temperature 1/2cup
  9. Baking powder 1tsp
  10. Baking soda 1tsp
  11. For mascarpone cheese
  12. Amul fresh cream 200ml
  13. Lime juice 2tbsp
  14. For Frosting -
  15. Whipping cream 1cup
  16. Vanilla extract 1tsp
  17. Confectioner sugar 1cup
  18. Instant Coffee Powder 1tsp
  19. Water 1/2cup
  20. Cocoa powder 1/2 tbsp for dusting

Instructions

  1. For mascarpone cheese steps are as follows -
  2. In a pan take amul fresh cream
  3. Let it simmer for 1 minute
  4. Add lime juice and stir.
  5. As it starts curdling switch off the flame.
  6. Leave it to cool for next 30 minutes.
  7. In another pan take a strainer.
  8. Place a cheese cloth or muslin cloth on the strainer with double fold.
  9. After 30 minutes strain the cheese and place the pan with the strainer with lid covered on it into the refrigerator to set for next 12 hours.
  10. For vanilla sponge cake steps are as follows
  11. In a bowl add butter and condensed milk together and whisk it properly.
  12. Now add vinegar, vanilla extract, sugar and milk and mix it well.
  13. Now sift all purpose flour, baking powder and baking soda into the mixture and mix well to form a batter.
  14. Take a greased cake tin.
  15. Pour the batter and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees C for 30 minutes.
  16. As cake is done allow it to cool.
  17. For frosting
  18. In a bowl take mascarpone cheese and sugar and whisk well.
  19. Next add whipping cream and vanilla extract and whisk it till it reaches soft peak.
  20. To prepare coffee mixture
  21. Take warm water and add 1tsp coffee into it keep aside.
  22. For assembling
  23. I have used mousse cups
  24. Cut the cake in small square with cookie cutter (as required in my mousse cup). Take frosting in a piping bag.
  25. Now put some frosting inside the cup.
  26. Now dip the cake pice into the coffee mixture and place it into the cup on the frosting.
  27. Repeat again with the frosting and cake dipped into the coffee mixture.
  28. Lastly dust cocoa powder on top.
  29. After assembling let it set for 3 hours in the refrigerator before serving.
