ABOUT Garlic Egg Pickle RECIPE

This egg pickle is a South Indian dish . An accompaniment, that goes well with rice and rotis.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Eggs- 3 (boiled)
  2. Garlic cloves 20
  3. Chilli powder 3 tbsp, ( you can take Kashmiri chilli)
  4. Turmeric Powder
  5. Hing 2 pinches
  6. Mustard seeds 1 pinch
  7. Salt
  8. Vinegar 2 tbsp
  9. Mustard powder & methi powder 2 pinches each
  10. Sugar a pinch
  11. Oil 3 tbsp


  1. Cut the eggs into small pieces. In a pan heat oil, put mustard seeds, red chillies & curry leaves. When it splutter put garlic,fry till light brown in colour.
  2. Add chilli powder, turmeric,salt, & hing, saute for a few minutes, adding a little water & vinegar. When it becomes a bit thick,add eggs. Stir well. Add some more water. Fry for 2-3 mins. Add mustard powder & methi powder. Mix well.fry for a few more minutes.
  3. Remove. Keep in fridge, start using after for 2 days.
  4. Before serving, microwave for a minute. Keep in the fridge. It will last for a month
