Garlic is one ingredient that not only spruce up our meals but rev up our health. This is a good way to eat garlic for those who cant take it otherwise. A tasty pickle that goes well with rice & rotis.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. garlic peeled 125 g ( cut into 2 pieces if it s big)
  2. ginger a small piece , chopped
  3. mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
  4. chilli powder 1 tbsp
  5. kashmiri chilli powder 1 tbsp
  6. turmeric 1/4 tsp
  7. roasted methi seeds powder 1/4 tsp
  8. asafoetida powder 1/4 tsp
  9. salt
  10. vinegar 2 tsp
  11. gingerly oil 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. boil garlic for 2, 3 min. or till u can insert a fork in the garlic. do not over cook.
  2. Always remember to cook the rest on a low fire.
  3. heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds.
  4. then put ginger .fry well.
  5. then add turmeric & chilli powders. fry for a few sec on low fire.
  6. add methi powder & asafoetida powder. fry .
  7. then add vinegar .let it cook for a few sec.
  8. add about 1/4 cup of water. when it starts boiling add gatlic & salt.
  9. cook for a few min. till thick.
  10. if u want a little gravy , u can add a little more water.
  11. when cool, store in air tight container.
