Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Masala for grinding -
  2. Onions - 2 roughly chopped
  3. Green chillies - 5
  4. Garlic cloves - 5
  5. Cloves- 2
  6. Cinnamon - 1 small piece
  7. Star anise - 2
  8. handful of coriander leaves
  9. Other Ingredients -
  10. Green peas - 1 cup
  11. Tomato - 1
  12. Capsicum - 1
  13. Haldi powder - 1 tsp
  14. Garam masala - 2 tsp
  15. Crushed pepper - a little(optional)

Instructions

  1. Soak green peas in hot water for 4 hours or normal water overnight.
  2. Heat a kadai and roast all the ingredients under masala section except coriander leaves for 5 minutes on a low flame. Add little oil while roasting.
  3. Cool the mixture and blend it along with fresh coriander leaves.
  4. Heat a kadai. Splutter jeera.
  5. Add tomatoes and cook till soft.
  6. Now add ground masala and saute.
  7. Add turmeric powder and garam masala.
  8. Add boiled green peas and salt. You can add little water used for boiling green peas.
  9. Bring to boil and add chopped capsicum.
  10. Switch off the flame and garnish with crushed pepper.
