Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken with bones - 200 gm
  2. Water - 2 cups
  3. Pepper corns - 10
  4. Chopped ginger and garlic - 2 tsp
  5. Chopped green chillies (optional) - 1/2 tsp
  6. Chopped spring onions - 1/2 cup
  7. pepper powder- 2 tsp
  8. Ajinomoto (optional) - 1/2 tsp
  9. Soy sauce - 1 tsp
  10. Cornflour - 2 tbsp
  11. Egg - 1
  12. Salt as per taste
  13. butter as needed
  14. For garlic bread :
  15. Bread slices- 4
  16. Grated garlic 1 tsp
  17. Chopped coriander leaves
  18. Cheese spread 4 tsp
  19. Soft butter


  1. Boil the chicken in the water along little salt and the Peppercorns.
  2. Once the chicken is cooked, switch off the flame and strain the chicken. Shred the cooked chicken meat and keep aside.
  3. Heat a saucepan with little butter. Add the chopped garlic, ginger and green chillies.
  4. Once they start smelling, add the chopped spring onions. Saute for a minute.
  5. Then add the shredded boiled chicken along with the broth.
  6. Add pepper powder, salt and bring upto boil.
  7. Whisk and egg and add to the boiling soup while stirring it.
  8. Then add the Ajinamoto, cornflour dissolved in water followed by soy sauce. Check for salt and switch off the flame.
  9. For the garlic bread, mix the grated garlic with the soft butter and whisk.
  10. Apply the garlic butter onto the bread slices, apply some cheese spread and sprinkle coriander leaves.
  11. Bake/toast them in a preheated oven at 200 degree Celsius for 20 minutes. Serve with the hot soup.
