Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Malai 1 cup
  2. Castor sugar 3/4 cup
  3. Maida 1.5 cup
  4. Baking powder 1 teaspoon
  5. Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Vanilla Essence 1teaspoon
  7. Milk 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Whisk malai, vanilla essence and sugar together.
  2. Sieve maida, baking powder and bakin soda in another bowl.
  3. Add half of the dry mix and half of the milk in malai mix and mix using cut and fold technique.
  4. Add the left over milk and maida mix and mix well.
  5. Take a cake mould and Grease it using oil. Dust maida over it.
  6. Pour the cake batter into the greased mould
  7. Bake in preheated oven at 180°c for 35 minutes or till toothpick inserted comes out clean
  8. Cool it down for 40 minutes,
  9. Run a knife in the corners of the mould to loosen the cake and demould it
  10. You can either let the cake cool down completely or enjoy it warm as we do.
