it is really different i try 1st time.it is khatta mitha pickle which kids also relish i try from a book which is gifted by betterbutter team

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. fresh ginger peeled-125gm
  2. rice vinegar -1/2cup
  3. Water-1/4cup
  4. sugar-55gm
  5. one preserving jar
  6. Salt-1tsp
  7. Beetroot one small piece

Instructions

  1. peeled and slice the ginger into thin strips
  2. transfer to bowl sprinkle salt and mix well
  3. set aside for 1/2 hour
  4. squeeze out and discard excess liquid from ginger
  5. To a saucepan add 14 cup rice vinegar and water along with sugar and little piece of beetroot . till sugar dissolves.
  6. boil for one minutes
  7. pour the vinegaru mixture over ginger strips in the zar and leave it to cool i
  8. remove the beetroot piece.
  9. add remaining vinegar and seal the jar.
  10. store in the fridge atleast 24 hours to allow the flavours develop before eating
