Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Red lentil moong masur 1 medium katori
  2. Onion 1 large
  3. Tomato 1 Large
  4. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  5. Oil 6 tbsp
  6. Salt as to taste
  7. Red chilly powder as to taste
  8. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  9. Coriander leaves
  10. desi ghee
  11. Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp


  1. Boil 1 katori daal in a pressure cooker
  2. Add turmeric salt and red chilly powder as to taste.
  3. Heat a wok.
  4. Add 5 6 tbsp of desi ghee.
  5. Add ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  6. Add finely chopped onions. Make them brown.
  7. Add grinded tomatoe. Add cumin seeds 1tbsp.
  8. Make a fine tadka masala.
  9. Add in boiled daal. Two whistles are enough for daal. Keep in open if not cooked.
  10. Garnish with corrainder leaves.
