Ingredients to make Kesari Rice kheer.

  • 1 litre pure milk of your choice
  • 1 cup full sugar or as per taste
  • Few strands Kesar (good quality saffron)
  • 1 cup basmati tukda cooked rice
  • Few Green cardomom seeds crushed
  • Sum blanched chopped almonds to garnish

How to make Kesari Rice kheer.

  1. 1cup cooked rice, to grind to a smooth paste.
  2. Keep handy some cold milk saffron and sugar
  3. Put the Milk to Heat , add sugar and saffron threads
  4. Let it take a boil
  5. Cook in slow stirring for ten minutes and add crushed cardomom
  6. Cook stirring slowly to avoid rice to catch the bottom of pot
  7. Put off flame,cool and remove in serving dish. Garnish with chopped almonds
  8. Serve hot or cold

My Tip:

Break lumps of ground rice well before adding to hot milk Stirr asap to avoid rice to stick in bottom of pan
