Our kokani rice kheer is a treat with no grain in it ,kids favourite and healthy too.Made of left over basmati plain rice cooked,ground well and mixed in sugared Kesari milk.Cooks on slow and the cardomom seeds crushed added give it great taste.must try.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 litre pure milk of your choice
  2. 1 cup full sugar or as per taste
  3. Few strands Kesar (good quality Saffron)
  4. 1 cup basmati tukda cooked rice
  5. Few Green cardomom seeds crushed
  6. Sum blanched chopped almonds to garnish

Instructions

  1. 1cup cooked rice, to grind to a smooth paste.
  2. Keep handy some cold milk saffron and sugar
  3. Put the Milk to Heat , add sugar and saffron threads
  4. Let it take a boil
  5. Cook in slow stirring for ten minutes and add crushed cardomom
  6. Cook stirring slowly to avoid rice to catch the bottom of pot
  7. Put off flame,cool and remove in serving dish. Garnish with chopped almonds
  8. Serve hot or cold

Yumm. I have never tried cooked rice. So will try for sure.
