Fishy Karela

Ingredients to make Fishy Karela

  • 250 grams karelas
  • I cup Kardi /prawns
  • I cup onions chopped fine
  • oil to shallow/panfry
  • 1tspn garlic crushed
  • salt to taste
  • 1tspn cummin powder
  • 1 tspn redchilli powder
  • 1/4tspn garam masala
  • Thread to tie bitter gourd to save stuffing from cuming out

How to make Fishy Karela

  1. Clean ,scrape Karela/Bitter gourd skin, wash and half cut each of them
  2. Make slits in the halves and remove hard seeds only if any
  3. Wash clean kardi keep aside
  4. Now fine chop onions
  5. Heat sum oil in a pan and saute crushed garlic
  6. Add onions kardi and spices cover and cook 2-5 min
  7. Now stuff this mixture in the Karelas slits well
  8. Tie the stuffed karelas well with a sewing thread
  9. Tie with thread ,heat oil in a pan to shallow fry
  10. Saute /shallow fry turning sides cover to cook in steam well
  11. Cook till done
  12. Remove when well done
  13. Serve with rotis Dal rice to enhance taste

My Tip:

Make sure your kardi is cooked as we are not deep frying
