Ingredients to make Katlamba

  • 500 gram maida
  • Salt and pepper
  • water to combine the dough
  • 2 tbsp maida
  • 1/2 bowl butter
  • oil to deep fry

How to make Katlamba

  1. Mix maida salt and pepper and make a soft dough
  2. Take maida in a bowl add water and make a flowing batter
  3. Now make thin roti .....Make 7 roti.
  4. Now take one roti spread maida water mix and butter on the roti...
  5. Place the other roti on it
  6. In the same way place all the roti on each other .
  7. The maida mix will let the roti stick with each other and the butter will separate them.
  8. when all the roti are placed make a cut in the middle as shown in pic .
  9. Start folding it like flower as shown in pic.
  10. Now make a roll and tap it with your fingertips and give it a round shape..
  11. Heat oil in deep kadai. ...when the oil is hot slow down the gas and cook the roti on very slow flame till golden brown from both the sides
  12. Slowly you will see that the layers are separating ....when cooked properly take it out and serve it hot with aloo ki sabji and halwa

My Tip:

Cook it on very slow flame otherwise it will not cook till inside
