ABOUT pyaz tamater tikkad RECIPE

Tikkads are found in deserts of Rajasthan .It is Insian bread made of wheat flour and maize flour and onion and tomatoes are added along with spices and coriander leaves .

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 cup wheat flour
  2. 1 cup maize flour
  3. salt
  4. 2 tbsp Ghee
  5. 34 greenchillies chopped
  6. 1 tsp grated ginger
  7. 3 onions grated
  8. 2 tomatoes chopped (small)
  9. few coriander leaves
  10. half bowl

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl mix wheat flour and maize flour
  2. Add salt and ghee to it.
  3. Rub with palms and mix well .
  4. Add chopped green chillies , ginger , onion and corianders .
  5. Add little water gradually and make little stiff dough .
  6. Make balls of dough of lemon size .
  7. Roll it by tapping ur palms on it and press it .
  8. keep doing in round shape .
  9. Add small 23 tomatoes pieces on it again press it.
  10. Heat tawa griddle keep it for cooking .
  11. After 4 minutes flip over other side and apply ghee on both sides.
  12. One tikkad takes 68 mins .
  13. serve hot with pickle or curd.
