Exotic mava parantha

Ingredients to make Exotic mava parantha

  • whole wheat flour 1/2 cup
  • all purpose flour 1/2 cup
  • salt 1/4 tsp
  • clarified butter 2 tsp+some for stir frying
  • Rose water 1tsp
  • water to knead the dough
  • Mava 1/2 cup
  • Powdered sugar 2tbsp
  • Desiccated coconut 1/4 cup
  • Raisin 10-12
  • almond powder 1tsp
  • Few saffron strands (soaked in 1/4 tsp milk)
  • cardamom powder 1/2tsp
  • Sessame seeds 1/2tsp

How to make Exotic mava parantha

  1. Sieve atta,maida and salt
  2. Add ghee, rose water, knead into a medium soft dough using little water
  3. Keep it aside to develop gluten
  4. Mix mava,coconut. Dry fruits, sugar cardamom and saffron
  5. Take half of the dough roll into a small chapati keep half stuffing and roll into a parantha like any other parantha
  6. Sprinkle some Sessame and press lightly
  7. Cook it on medium hot tava on medium low flame all the time
  8. Add little ghee at a time and cook it golden and crisp both sides
  9. Make both like this and serve either with rabri,phirni or as it is

My Tip:

You can use saunf powder as well if don't like cardamom
