Kesar Badam Burfi

Ingredients to make Kesar Badam Burfi

  • badam - 1 cup
  • sugar - 1 & 1/2 cup or more, if u want more sweetness
  • Milk powder - 1 tbsp
  • cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Melted ghee - 1 tbsp or more if required
  • water quantity just enough to dissolve the sugar to make sugar syrup

How to make Kesar Badam Burfi

  1. Soak badam in warm water for an hour
  2. Peel off the skin and grind badam into a coarse powder..
  3. In a pan add sugar & water & prepare a two string sugar syrup
  4. Add a pinch kesar colour to the sugar syrup and mix well
  5. Then add cardamom powder, powdered badam, milk powder and keep stirring.
  6. When the mixture thickens, keep adding melted ghee little by little and when the mixture becomes porous, transfer to a greased plate.
  7. After it cools, cut into desired shapes..

My Tip:

Adding milk powder will enhance the taste and make the burfis soft..
