Very easy to make recipe. It is full of proteins and fiber.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Dough for Nachos chips and Tacos shell
  2. Maize flour - 1 cup
  3. Maida - 1/4 cup
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Oragano and chilli flakes to taste or 1/2 tsp each.
  6. 1 tbsp oil
  7. For salsa -
  8. Finely chopped tomato - 1 medium
  9. Finely chopped capsicum -1/2 small
  10. You may also use different coloured bell peppers finely chopped.
  11. Finely chopped Onion - 1 small
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Oragano and chilli flakes to taste
  14. Vinegar - 1tsp
  15. Red chili powder - 1 tbsp (optional )
  16. For beans -
  17. Small Rajma- 1/2 cup
  18. Tomato puree - 1/2 cup
  19. Salt to taste
  20. Chilli powder as per taste
  21. Oragano - 1/2 tsp
  22. Other ingredients -
  23. Thinly sliced onion and cabbage.
  24. Grated cheese


  1. For tacos shell -
  2. Mix all ingredients for dough and add water. Knead to get a soft dough
  3. I have also added fresh parsley as it was available.
  4. Make balls of the dough and roll them and cut with a cookie cutter or a round lid and prick with fork.
  5. Fry in hot oil and when half done hold two sides close to each other to form the shape once its half done you can leave it till crisp. Fry one by one for convenience.
  6. Similarly roll a big chapati and prick with fork and cut with pizza cutter into triangle shape for Nacho chips
  7. And fry till crisp
  8. For salsa- Finely chop all the vegetables and put in a bowl mix other ingredients and season as per taste mix and keep aside. Use as needed. May also add 1tbsp of tomato sauce.
  9. For beans- Tinned beans are available you can use those. Or, Soak the Rajma overnight or 6-8hrs. Pressure cook them for 6 whistles or till done. In a sauce pan add tomato puree season it. Add rajma and cook till all combine well. Keep aside for further use. You can refrigerate this for a day or two.
  10. To assemble, In an oven proof plate arrange nachos chips add beans above these add salsa and grated cheese lavishly. Bake at 160° C for just a few minutes till the cheese melts. You can also add cheese sauce. Sprinkle mix herbs and chilli flakes as per taste. Serve hot.
  11. For Tacos, Arrange tacos shells on a plate. Put some sliced onion and cabbage at the bottom (this prevents shells from getting soggy ) and a spoonful of beans then salsa and cheese. Sprinkle mix herbs and chili flakes as per taste. Bake these just to melt the cheese if you can or serve as it is.
