Masala Tiger prawns

Ingredients to make Masala Tiger prawns

  • Tiger prawns - 1/2 kg (cleaned and deveined)
  • lemon - 1
  • green chillies - 3 to 4 broken into 2
  • onion-1 medium chopped
  • curry leaves
  • red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala - 1 to 1 1/2 tsp (preferably home made... Whole spices ground with some dhania and jeera)
  • ginger - 1 tbsp chopped
  • garlic - 1 tbsp chopped
  • dhania powder - 1 tsp
  • pudina leaves - a handfull
  • coriander - as desired
  • salt to taste

How to make Masala Tiger prawns

  1. Marinate the prawns with all the masalas, green chillies and chopped onion.
  2. Take a pan, add some oil
  3. Throw in the chopped ginger and garlic. Stir fry but don't brown it.
  4. Add the marinated prawns and saute on low to medium heat.
  5. Add some curry leaves and saute
  6. Cover and cook
  7. Open add the pudina leaves and saute uncovered
  8. Let the juices dry a bit and prawns coated with the masala.
  9. Can adjust spices if desired, while cooking
  10. Serve with hot steamed rice.
