Raw Banana Seekh Kebabs

Ingredients to make Raw Banana Seekh Kebabs

  • 2 cups boiled and mashed raw bananas
  • You can take 4 raw bananas for this quantity
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped greenchillies
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp bhune chane ka powder
  • 1 tsp tandoori masala
  • 1/2 amchur powder
  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala + some to sprinkle on top
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp fried onions
  • 1 - 2 tsp oil for brushing the kebabs
  • 4 skewers , soaked in water for 15 minutes before use
  • 2 tbsp Hung curd
  • 1/4 tsp garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp mint leaves and greenchillies paste
  • 1/2 tsp lime juice
  • Pinch of sugar
  • salt to taste
  • onion rings of one onion
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • Pinch of salt

How to make Raw Banana Seekh Kebabs

  2. In a big utensil put some water
  3. Place this utensil on high flame
  4. Add raw bananas and boil them
  5. Cook them until becomes soft
  6. You can test it with a knife whether it is cooked or not
  7. When done take them out in a plate
  8. When completely cools down then peel them and mash them
  9. Now add finely chopped onions, green chillies, ginger, coriander, chaat masala, amchur powder, tandoori masala, bhune chane ka powder, salt and fried onions
  10. Mix nicely with your hands, so that no lumps remain
  11. In the meantime soak the skewers in water
  12. Now make equal size balls from the mixture
  13. Give them the shape of a cylinder
  14. Now insert a skewer in between the cylinder
  15. Stick it nicely to the skewer, by pressing it with your fingers
  16. Heat a tawa or pan and place the ready skewers
  17. Brush some oil on the kebabs
  18. Roast them, by turning them at regular intervals
  19. Roast them until becomes brown from all the sides
  20. When done take them out in a serving plate
  21. Serve them with creamy mint dip and caramalised onion rings
  23. In a bowl mix all the ingredients together
  24. Blend well, the dip is ready
  26. Heat a tsp of oil in a pan
  27. Add onion rings, salt and sugar
  28. Roast them on medium heat, by turning them at regular intervals
  29. Roast them until becomes brown

My Tip:

Try to boil the raw bananas in an open vessel , so that the water does'nt go inside the bananas
