Paneer is liked by almost all. If you have a short time, paneer dish is best for you and your family for lunch or dinner. Kadhai paneer is a very simple recipe. In it many types of masala powders are used to make it spicy and lot of tomatoes also. You can try it for side dish by having a little gravy instead of making it dry.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 200 gm Paneer
  2. 1 bay leaf
  3. Cinnamon stick
  4. 2-3 cloves
  5. 1 big size onion paste
  6. 3 medium size tomatoes puree
  7. 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  8. 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  9. 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  10. 1 tablespoon kashmiri red chili powder
  11. 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  12. 1 teaspoon ghee
  13. 1 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  14. 1 teaspoon honey
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Refined oil
  17. Coriander leaves for garnishing


  1. Cut the paneer in cube pieces.
  2. Marinate the paneer with salt and turmeric powder.
  3. Take a non-stick pan and heat the oil. Fry the paneer pieces a little and soak the oil.
  4. In the same oil add cinnamon sticks, bay leaf, cloves.
  5. Add onion paste and mix.
  6. Add ginger-garlic paste and mix.
  7. Add tomato puree and salt. Mix very well.
  8. Now add all the masala powders and little water. Mix very well.
  9. Add hot water and fried paneer. Cover for sometime.
  10. When the gravy is thick serve hot with roti, stuff paratha or rice.
