Ingredients to make Kadai Paneer with gravy

  • 200 gm paneer
  • 1 bay leaf
  • cinnamon stick
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 1 big size onion paste
  • 3 medium size tomatoes puree
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon ghee
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • salt to taste
  • Refined oil
  • coriander leaves for garnishing

How to make Kadai Paneer with gravy

  1. Cut the paneer in cube pieces.
  2. Marinate the paneer with salt and turmeric powder.
  3. Take a non-stick pan and heat the oil. Fry the paneer pieces a little and soak the oil.
  4. In the same oil add cinnamon sticks, bay leaf, cloves.
  5. Add onion paste and mix.
  6. Add ginger-garlic paste and mix.
  7. Add tomato puree and salt. Mix very well.
  8. Now add all the masala powders and little water. Mix very well.
  9. Add hot water and fried paneer. Cover for sometime.
  10. When the gravy is thick serve hot with roti, stuff paratha or rice.

My Tip:

One can reduce the red chilli powder and paneer is not necessary to fry.
