ABOUT Hot and sour noodle soup RECIPE

Hot and sour soup recipe is very easy and quick to make. It calls for just a few ingredients wherein vegetable stock is a must. You only need two seasonings to bring out the iconic flavors of hot and sour soup, soy sauce and vinegar. If you like it spicy, you can add some dried chili flakes or chili oil into the soup.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 pack : maggi noodles
  2. 1 can : Vegetable broth
  3. 2 tbsp : Corn starch
  4. 3 tbsp : water(to mix with corn starch)
  5. 1 1/2 cups : water
  6. 1 cup : Sliced Mushrooms
  7. 6 nos : Baby corn sliced
  8. 3 tbsp : French beans finely sliced
  9. 3 tbsp : Soy sauce
  10. 3 tbsp : Apple cider vinegar
  11. 1 tsp : Black pepper
  12. 1/4 tsp : Sugar
  13. Salt to taste (optional)


  1. Add the cornstarch and water together, stir to combine well. Set aside.
  2. Add the vegetable broth and water to a medium-sized soup pot on medium heat. Bring it to boil. Add the noodles cook for 2 minutes. Add the sliced mushrooms, baby corn, french beans. Continue boiling for 2 more minutes.
  3. Add the soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, salt ( if using) and black pepper. Stir to combine well.
  4. Add in the cornstarch mixture, stir continuously to thicken the soup. Turn off the heat.
  5. Serve hot with a baguette.
