ABOUT Stuffed Dahi parval RECIPE

Delicious stuffed parval cooked in a yogurt based gravy to go with rice or roti.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 10 no parval
  2. 1cup curd
  3. 1 no chopped tomato
  4. 1no grated onion
  5. 1 tsp Ginger paste
  6. 1 /2 tsp garlic paste
  7. 1 tsp red chilly pwd
  8. 1 tsp coriander pwd
  9. 1/2 tsp cumin pwd
  10. 1 tsp turmeric pwd
  11. 1tsp garam masala pwd
  12. Salt
  13. sugar
  14. Stuffing:
  15. Boiled & mashed potato - 1 cup
  16. Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup
  17. Poppy seeds paste - 1/2 cup
  18. Chopped onion- 1
  19. Green chillies (chopped) - 2
  20. Salt
  21. Wheat flour- 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Peel the medium size parval & make one slit in the middle.
  2. Scoop out the pulp using a spoon.
  3. Now mix all the stuffing ingredients and stuff each parval with little of it.
  4. Lightly fry & keep aside.
  5. Dry masala powder (except garam masala) added into curd & mix it well.
  6. Heat oil fry onion till colour changes to brown.
  7. when the tomatoes are mushy, add the curd masala & continue to cook till oil comes out,
  8. add 1 cup water & fried parval.
  9. Cook for 5 minutes & gravy should be reduced into a thick gravy.
  10. Add sugar as per taste & garam masala. Dish is ready.
