Its a delicious dahi wali kadhi made with methi leaves which is very healthy and yummy.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Finely chopped Methi Leaves 2 cups / 125 gms
  2. Curd 1-1/2 cup or 250 gms
  3. Oil 1 tbsp
  4. Besan 2 tbsp
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Haldi a pinch
  7. Green chilli 2
  8. Grated ginger 1/4 tsp
  9. Jeera, Hing and kadi patta for tempering
  10. Desi ghee 1 tbsp
  11. Dry whole red chilli 2


  1. First chop and wash methi leaves.
  2. Heat oil in a kadhahi add methi leaves, green chilli and ginger, saute for 2 mins and add half a cup of water.
  3. Mix well and cover the kadhai. Cook on low flame till methi gets soft.
  4. In between in a big bowl add curd, besan and haldi. Mix well to avoid lumps. Add 2-3 cups of water and mix well.
  5. Open kadhai check the methi leaves. Add curd mixture and keep stirring continuously till it comes to a boil.
  6. When kadhi starts boiling add salt and mix well.
  7. Cook for 8-10 mins on low flame. Add more water if the kadhi gets thicker.
  8. After 10 mins check if your kadhi is ready. Turn off the flame.
  9. In a tadka pan heat ghee add jeera, hing, kadi patta and sukhi lal mirch. Add this tempering to the kadhi.
  10. Garnish with hara dhaniya. Serve hot with roti or rice.
